Elephants are the only animals known to cry. They actually hold “funerals’ for their dead and have been seen shedding tears of sadness.
Walruses are the only animals that have to remember to breathe. They can actually hold their breath for up to an hour in case they forget!
Armadillos are the only animals that can contract leprosy but they-re also the only animal who can walk underwater.
In the last 4,000 years no new animal species has been domesticated.
Most cats born in Halifax, Nova Scotia have 6 toes on each foot and no one knows why.
A lion-s roar can be heard from a distance of up to 5 miles away and can measure over 100 decibels.
Elephants cannot jump, even if it means a matter of life and death.
